Meet Brandye

I recognize that every growing family is unique and deserves individualized, holistic, and compassionate care throughout the childbearing cycle. With attention to physical and emotional wellness, I support healthy pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

I happily provide IN HOME midwifery care to families throughout Travis, Williamson and Hays County, including Austin, Leander, Cedar Park, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Pflugerville and Buda. I see that natural birth is innately a transformative, empowering and healing experience. I consciously facilitate the natural process of pregnancy and birth as it unfolds, with the greatest respect and honor for life itself. By trusting women’s bodies and spirits, and allowing babies to birth gently, this creates opportunities for women, children, and families to reach their highest potential.

I would like to welcome you to Austin Midwife 2 U. It was through my own pregnancy and birth experience where my passion for midwifery was ignited. The care I received from my midwives sparked the fire in my soul to be part of the midwifery sisterhood. I learned how important your birthing experience is for you and your baby and how midwives help facilitate this by giving respect, honor and privacy to the birthing woman.

I am licensed through the state of Texas as well as through NARM. I am a mother, a mentor, and a midwife that provides safe quality care for your home birth experience.

My passion is to help facilitate a warm, nurturing space for women and families to be and allowing a natural, normal birth to unfold. One of my favorite things about midwifery is the special relationship I develop with each family. I love hearing how each couple met, enjoy being in their home for the birth as well as prenatal visits, meeting other family members and getting to know them personally.

I also love the emotional intensity of bringing babies into the world. Labor can be very intense for the mother, the family, and the midwife. But, the euphoria of the birth is the reward at the end of the journey. The joy I see in each family member's face becomes a treasured memory for me. It's a privilege and a gift for me to be able to share in this experience with so many families.

After hearing from countless numbers of women asking for in-home prenatal visits, I listened and heeded that call. There is a real need for busy parents and parents to be for in-home prenatal care. By practicing in this manner, I am able to provide a more relaxed atmosphere for you and your family. Lab work, pap smears and check ups can all be done easily and safely in your home.

I have been married to my wonderfully supportive husband Mike for six years, we have a beautiful, curly headed four year old son who I gave birth to at the age of 43. In my free time I enjoy being active and outside, wakeboarding, swimming, hiking and working in my garden.

Contact me to set up a complementary one hour consultation. This can be done in your home, a coffee shop, or other comfortable setting.

Checking Heart Tones

You are a birth servant. Do good without show or fuss. If you must take the lead, lead so that the mother is helped, yet still free and in charge. When that baby is born they will rightly say: "we did it ourselves."
